The gate is not easy to notice, so go slowly before you arrive at the destination. It is a beautiful metal gate. The parking lot is down the gravel path. They do not open the gates before 10 am. If you get there early, you might have to pull over a little further down the road, because there is no shoulder by the gate.
What to bring: Weather-appropriate clothing + snacks & water. This trail is stroller-friendly, but not paved.
