Hikes and Walks for Families
Exploring local toddler-friendly trails with like-minded moms
We love to explore every trail that Maple Valley and the vicinity have to offer. Most of our hikes are planned with toddlers in mind, meaning they are slow and short. We like to play games, sing songs, and find treasures along the way.

Usual distance: Most weekday hikes cover around 1 mile, while longer weekend trails let us explore without missing preschool pickups or midday naps.

Terrain: Trails around Maple Valley, WA, generally have minimal elevation change and are safe for little adventurers. Most hikes are not stroller-friendly unless noted in the event description.
Walks: These are perfect for strollers, kids on bikes, or little ones running and walking alongside us.
What to wear & bring: Dress in weather-appropriate clothing that can get a little muddy. We do not cancel events due to rain or cold. Any special items you’ll need for an event will be listed under the “What to Bring” section of the event description.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hiking With Us:
I’m not super fit—will the hikes be too much? Not at all. Unless your doctor says otherwise, you’ll likely be just fine. You can go at your own pace—we never leave anyone behind! Most of our hikes are short and toddler-paced. The goal is to enjoy movement together, not to “keep up.”
Can dads or grandparents come too? Definitely! Unless the event is labeled "Mamas Only" (like Moms’ Night Out or a solo hike/kayak date), we welcome all caregivers. We love seeing families explore together—grandparents, partners, uncles, aunties… the more, the merrier! They will be included in your family drop-in pass.

What’s your sick policy? Since our events are outdoors, the risk of transmission is lower. A little clear runny nose is okay, but please keep kiddos home if they’ve had these symptoms in the past 24 hours:
Fever (any grade) | Vomiting or diarrhea | Persistent or barking cough | Obvious contagious illnesses (like pink eye, lice, hand-foot-mouth). Please use your best judgment. We care about keeping everyone safe and understand that fresh air is often part of the healing process!
