Themed Outdoor Playdates for Families

Creative Outdoor Experiences for Toddlers and Preschoolers

Our themed outdoor playdates invite families to slow down, get curious, and explore the world around them together. From Mudchef days—where little hands “cook” with mud and nature finds using real kitchen tools—to playground hopping missions, picnics paired with berry picking, salmon spawning walks, and farm visits, each gathering blends imaginative play with outdoor discovery. These playful adventures help toddlers and preschoolers learn about nature, themselves, and their community—rain or shine. We like to explore new locations in the greater Maple Valley WA area.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hiking With Us:

I have a baby, but most events seem aimed at toddlers—should I still come?

Yes! Most of our events are thoughtfully planned to include both babies and toddlers. Babies love the fresh air, watching older kids, and snuggling in the carrier. Toddlers enjoy the playful activities and nature missions—but they also love having babies around, as they get to be the big siblings. Walks and workouts are stroller-friendly, and hikes are short enough for babywearing. If you’re unsure which events are a good fit, feel free to message me—I’m happy to help!

Can dads or grandparents come too? Definitely! Unless the event is labeled "Mamas Only" (like Moms’ Night Out or a solo hike/kayak date), we welcome all caregivers. We love seeing families explore together—grandparents, partners, uncles, aunties… the more, the merrier! They will be included in your family drop-in pass.

What’s your sick policy? Since our events are outdoors, the risk of transmission is lower. A little clear runny nose is okay, but please keep kiddos home if they’ve had these symptoms in the past 24 hours:

Fever (any grade) | Vomiting or diarrhea | Persistent or barking cough | Obvious contagious illnesses (like pink eye, lice, hand-foot-mouth). Please use your best judgment. We care about keeping everyone safe and understand that fresh air is often part of the healing process!
